6. Gattaka | 1997
Gattaka is the perfect world of the future. Everyone here has an ideal genetic structure, and a sad fate awaits those who were conceived in love, and not in vitro.
One of these “unfortunate ones” is Vincent Freeman, a young man who barely appeared to us, received the label “unsuitable”. He has poor eyesight, a weak heart, and laboratory research data says that he will live no more than 30 years. However, despite this, Vincent has a dream - to conquer the open spaces.
The picture was not successful in the American box office, but it gave impetus to the development of a public discussion about the dangers of improving modern biotechnology.
5. The Big Lebowski | 1998
The central character of the picture, with the strange nickname "Dude", considers himself an absolutely happy person. His daily reality is a game of bowling and alcohol. The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
The total budget of the painting was 130 million dollars and another 50 million was spent on an advertising campaign.

The action takes place in the future, in which people do not have the physiological ability to feel and show any emotions, sincere feelings are outlawed there.
Mankind has gone for the introduction of such measures because of the constant threat of large-scale wars that can destroy all life. Now literature, painting and music are strictly prohibited, and any emotion is a crime that is punishable by death.
This film was not enthusiastically accepted by the community of film critics and it failed at the box office, however, several years after the release of the Equilibrium, the popularity of this film began to grow, and now millions of viewers consider this tape to be one of the best philosophical works of the two thousandth.
